Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data is collected when you give your email to briceiscoding or to any of its apps, and how it is used. Plain and short — no legalese wall.
Who is responsible (data controller)
The data controller is briceiscoding (Brice), which also operates the apps and products listed below. The same controller is responsible whichever app you signed up through. For any privacy request, contact hello@briceiscoding.com.
Where this applies (scope)
briceiscoding runs several products, and you can share your email from any of them — the briceiscoding newsletter, or an app such as Please Don't Cheat, and others as they launch. Each signup is tied to the specific app it came from, and this policy covers all of them.
Why we collect your data (purpose)
Your email is used for one thing: to send you updates about the specific app or newsletter you signed up for — a launch, a beta invite, or a real update. Registering for one app does not add you to another's emails. Your email is never sold, rented, or used for unrelated purposes.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time (see your rights below).
What we collect
Your email address, the app or source you signed up from, whether you gave consent, and the date you signed up. Some apps may attach minimal technical metadata to your signup. We do not store IP addresses (data minimization).
How long we keep it (retention)
Your email is kept until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe from an app, you are removed from that app's active mailing list.
Who processes your data (processors)
Your email is stored with our hosting/database provider (Supabase), and an email service provider may be used to deliver messages. Each acts only on our instructions. When a specific email provider is in place, it will be named here, along with the safeguards for any data transfer.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected (rectification);
- have it deleted (erasure);
- receive it in a portable format (portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, just email hello@briceiscoding.com. Unsubscribing is also possible in one click from any email.
Complaints
If you believe your data is not handled properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
